William Street Reduced To One Lane

Between Goodwin and Forrest Streets August 17

(VICTORIA, TEXAS) The City will narrow William Street to one-lane northbound between Forrest and Goodwin Streets Tuesday, August 17 to install water lines. Construction is expected to take approximately one week, weather permitting.  The intersection of Goodwin Street and William Street will be reduced to one lane while construction is being performed in the intersection.  Flagmen will direct traffic through the intersection.

All businesses and parking lots in the work zone will remain accessible via alternate routes.

The City and contractor are working to reduce public inconvenience; however, drivers may experience delays in this area. Alternate routes are suggested when possible.

This construction is part of the $2,092,079 Downtown Water and Sewer Line Replacements (Phase I, Projects 3 & 4); this phase is estimated to be complete in seven months. The contractor performing the work is SER Construction Partners, LTD from Pasadena, Texas

For more information, contact the Public Works Department at 485-3340.
