Final Update on Alex
(VICTORIA, TEXAS) National Weather Service forecasts now track Alex making landfall in northeast Mexico below the US and Mexico border.
The NWS has reduced expected rainfall in the Victoria region to between 1-3 inches, and reduced expected winds to storm force velocities. Rain and wind from Alex could reach Victoria Wednesday and Thursday.
The National Weather Service forecast calls for Alex to become a hurricane later today and continue on a northwest track into Mexico.
Local emergency officials urge residents to continue to monitor this hurricane in case it changes direction.
Unless Alex changes direction and threatens the Victoria region, this will be the last public notice on Alex.
